SUSTAINABLE DESIGN FORUM: BIODYNAMIC WINE TASTING

By IIDA NY Chapter (other events)

Thursday, August 13 2015 6:00 PM 8:00 PM EDT

ABOUT ABOUT

The principles and practices of biodynamics are based on a philosophy, called anthroposophy, which includes understanding the ecological, energetic, and spiritual forces in nature. A practical method of biodynamic wine making embodies ecological symbiosis of the vineyard as a cohesive, interconnected living system.

6 wines (3 reds and 3 whites) produced locally by Paumanok Wineyards in Long Island will be tasted with Kareen Massoud, the wine maker at Paumanok, presenting a lecture on the making of biodynamic wines and the challenges that arise during the process.

This event is one of multiple events planned under the ‘Drink, Dine & Design’ (3D) series presented by the IIDA NY Sustainability Forum.
