The IIDA NY Institutional and Sustainable Forums present Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean at NYSID, Dr. Ellen Fisher who will discuss her experiences designing sustainable schools.
After her presentation she will participate in a panel discussion with NYC educators focused on sustainability. Panelists will include Vicki Sando, Green STEM teacher & Environmental Science Program Developer at P.S.41 Greenwich Village School, Manuela Zamora, Executive Director & Director of Education Programs at NY Sun Works and Tené Howard, Director of Global Outreach, Service and Sustainability at Packer Collegiate Institute.
Topics will include wellness, curriculum, retrofitting, green roofs and gardens and how green design impacts students’ cognitive abilities.
