This annual event was created to strengthen the local design community's commitment to giving back to our city. This year we have organized three volunteer opportunities in August to promote the impact we can make as a group. In September we will come together to celebrate the work we have done.
Join us on August 10th as we work with Build it Green! NYC
Build it Green!NYC is New York City's only non-profit retail outlet for salvaged building materials. 10-20 Volunteers are required to help out for the day at their Brooklyn Reuse Center. Volunteers will be asked to do anything from painting the trucks to helping sort and organize newly acquired donations that would otherwise end up in landfills.
Volunteers should be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Please wear clothing that you won't mind getting dirty and closed toed shoes. You must be 18 years or older to volunteer.
