The objectives of this course include learning about methods of carpet construction, focusing mostly on tufting since that is the primary construction type used today. The course also covers carpet constructions such as loop, cut or cut loop and looks at components of carpet construction such as stitch rate and denier size. Finally, it will review the processes that comprise the tufting process.
