Our preview event, hosted by two highly respected Afghan rug scholar/advocates who will conduct a special tour of the rugs. Afghan women have been consistently paid pennies on the dollar for their work due to middlemen who have been the sole exporters for the rugs from the war torn country. This sale launches a campaign to directly market the rugs to an international market at highly discounted prices, the proceeds will go directly to the Afghan manufacturers and most importantly the women.
